This is a beautiful, traditional hotel with spectacular views from the lake- view rooms. Although the annex offers a lower standard of accommodation than the main building, the views are just as spectacular from these rooms which compensates for the difference in standard. 07/09 MW.
The main building is grand and traditional and there is a modern annexe.
Breakfast is served in the large restaurant on the ground floor, in surroundings befitting this grand hotel.
The lobby is large and impressive in marble with a huge chandelier dominating the centre. There is plenty of seating around the edges of the lobby area with rugs scattered in these areas.
The rooms in the main building are of the high standard expected of a hotel of this category. They are large with plush carpets and wall coverings, and antique furniture. Bathrooms are also in exceptional condition.
In the annex, the standard of the rooms is a little different. All of the annexe rooms have lake view and a balcony. They have are not close to the standard or style of the main building, although they are large and in very good condition, as are the bathrooms.
